Dr. Theo Ben-Abraham Smilovici founded Jesus of Israel ministries in February 1992. The ministry's main purpose is to share the Gospel with all people “to the Jews first and also to the Gentiles” (Rom. 1:16b). Dr. Ben-Abraham was born in Romania after the 2nd WW into a very well founded Hebrew Christian family. Here is part of his testimony...

From a very early age I have learned that believing in Jesus as my Messiah means knowing personal sacrifice. During my childhood and teenage life in the former communist country of Romania, I saw all manners of atrocities against the believers. My grandfather, father, and many of my uncles had to suffer insults, offenses, beatings, and even prison for the sake of serving Him. Having witnessed their perseverance in the face of persecution has strengthened my faith in the Lord.

When I was five years old I received Jesus into my life, but the commitment to live a Christ-like life was made years later in 1969. In 1970, my father's family and I emigrated from Romania to Israel. From the age of nineteen, my only desire was and still is to serve my Savior and to make Him known among all people, especially to the Jewish people. Since then, I had only one dream - to become a missionary doctor.
